Logano a sleeper to watch this weekend at Bristol

No one is talking about Joey Logano right now. That could be a mistake. Logano, says this season is a lot like 2018. That’s the one he won a championship in.

Logano, has eight top 10 finishes in his last nine starts on the season. While he hasn’t won since before the pandemic, he’s getting closer.

See, the crew chief swap helped to start the year with three wins in five races including the Duels in Daytona, they’ve not won in the last 24. That’s because the lack of practice.

With a new crew chief, it takes time to learn one another. He and Paul Wolfe have been to these tracks tons of times, just not together.

Before the pandemic, they had practice. Since? None.

But, they’re since got on the same page and the stats are showing. I can see that first win during the pandemic coming on Saturday night in fact.

Logano should have won the spring race at the Bristol (Tenn) Motor Speedway. He won this race in back-to-back years in 2014 and again in 2015. He has seven top 10s in his last 10 starts there too and rolls off second on Saturday.

That’s why he’s a strong sleeper this weekend.
