With Ty Gibbs’ news that he’ll move up to the Cup Series with Joe Gibbs Racing, it was kind of lost in the shuffle that Stewart-Haas Racing announced that Riley Herbst will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in his No. 98 Ford with the team.

2023 will mark Herbst’s fourth season in the series including three straight with SHR. He also raced full-time with JGR in 2020.

Herbst has made 109 career NXS starts with 17 top five finishes, 54 top 10 results, two poles and 85 laps led. This past year was his best season to date so far with eight top five finishes and 20 top 10’s. He finished a career best 10th in the final standings.
