NASHVILLE, Tenn — Linus Lundqvist got back to his winning ways on Sunday afternoon from Music City USA. Under the threatening skies of an impending storm, the Swedish driver used his top starting spot to lead all 35 laps in the Indy Lights race around the 2.1 mile Nashville street course.
It was his 5th win of the 2022 season as he extends his points lead with just 4 races remaining.
He topped 2nd place finisher Sting Ray Robb by a wide margin. Robb earned his 2nd runner up of the season, both coming in the last 4 races with crossing the finish line 7.2221s arrears.
Robb now also has 7 podiums this year too.
Hunter McElrea continued his hot streak with a 3rd place finish. He has 5 straight podiums. With Lundqvist though with 7 consecutive top 4 results, he’s not gaining much ground.
He was 2nd though for the 1st 30 laps before Robb got by on Lap 33 sliding McElrea down to 3rd. That’s where they’d finish.
Matthew Brabham finished 4th while Christian Rasmussen rounded out the top five to give Andretti 4 cars in the top 5.
