Prime Sports NASCAR weekly fantasy team update leaving Kansas and heading to Martinsville

CJ extends his lead once again. He’s on a hot streak now. After getting 955 points last week, Kyle Larson gives him his 16th win of the season with taking 1st (Larson), third (Kevin Harvick), seventh (Martin Truex Jr.), eighth (Christopher Bell) and Austin Dillon (10th) in the top 10 with 955 more points. Only Brad Keselowski (17th) and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (24th) were outside for him.

Eric had a strong day via 745 points with Chase Elliott (2nd), fifth (Denny Hamlin), sixth (William Byron), ninth (Joey Logano), 14th (Bubba Wallace), 22nd (Tyler Reddick) and 26th (Aric Almirola).

That left Greg with the rest but with Eric and CJ combining for nine of the top 10 spots, Greg just had Kurt Busch (4th) as his lone representative in the top 10. Alex Bowman (11th), Chris Buescher (12th) and Ross Chastain (13th) kept it respectable while Matt DiBenedetto (23rd), Kyle Busch (28th) and Ryan Blaney (37th) didn’t fare well for him.

Week 33 Texas

1 CJ 955

2 Eric 620

3 Greg 410

Now its to Martinsville where Eric may have the team to beat now. Elliott has to be the favorite coming off of a runner-up last week as he was runner-up here in the spring, won this race last year and has four top fives in his last five at Martinsville. Hamlin led 276 laps in a third place run this spring while Logano has six top eight’s in his last seven. Byron is a sleeper with a fourth place run in the spring and three top eight’s in the last four. Reddick is too as he was eighth in the spring race too giving him five of the top 10 finishers from April.

CJ has Larson but he’s had one top five in his last eight at this track. Harvick has two top fives in his last 18 and Dillon no top 10’s in his last eight there. Truex is the co-favorite with two wins in his last three starts to go along with leading 129 laps in the one he didn’t win. Keselowski has 10 top 10’s in his last 11 including nine of those in the top five.

Greg has Blaney who had a pair of runner-ups last year and two top fives the year prior and maybe Kyle Busch but Busch’s last four Martinsville finishes are 14th, 19th, 9th and 10th respectively. Alex Bowman is his sleeper with a pair of sixth place finishes last year.

Can Eric close the gap enough going to Phoenix while Greg has to hope to not fall back further.
