We’ve arrived at the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season finale. 15 of the 16 races are in the books with Sunday’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach (3 p.m. ET, NBCSN, INDYCAR Radio Network) serving as the final one. With that said, you have Alex Palou, Pato O’Ward and Josef Newgarden battling for the championship. Everyone else can swing for the fences and end the year on a high note in victory lane.
In saying that, here are five sleepers who can steal a win in the season finale on the streets of Long Beach.
No one has been as hot as Ericsson to close out this season including both of his wins coming on street courses. He’s had as many top 10s this year than his entire brief INDYCAR career prior.
He’s a past winner and has three top seven finishes in his last four Long Beach starts.
This has always been a good race for him. Rahal, has two straight top five finishes including four top 10’s in his last seven tries.
An Indy 500 and Long Beach win in the same season? Helio has three straight top 10 finishes here including two of his last three on the podium.
He’s also a past winner and enters having four straight top 10 finishes on the scenic street circuit.
