CJ capitalized on a big day from Martin Truex Jr. to take his fifth win of the season on Sunday in Darlington. In fact, throw in a runner-up from Kyle Larson and a sixth place from Kevin Harvick and he went 1-2-6 to score 200 points for the Goodyear 400. That extends his points lead over Eric to 115 points as Eric went 4-5-7 with William Byron, Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott. 

Greg took third with Kyle Busch but his next two best drivers were Ryan Blaney (8th) and Chris Buescher (9th) as he falls to 405 points arrears heading to Dover this weekend. 

For Dover, it could look a lot like Darlington. Truex Jr. is 3-for-3 on 750 tracks and has three straight runner-ups on the concrete mile oval. He won the race prior to those three too. Larson, won his last Dover start and was third in the other. He has four top fives in his last six Dover starts. 

Kevin Harvick won a Dover race last year and had three straight fourth place finishes prior. CJ has arguably the top three drivers. 

Eric has the other few with Denny Hamlin scoring a win last year at Dover to go along with two top fives in his last three tries. William Byron was fourth last year and eighth in the 2019 spring races. He’s also not had a finish outside of the top 10 since we left Daytona. Chase Elliott has three top fives in his last five Dover starts too. 

I would think a winner comes from these six drivers.
