Team Penske, Chip Ganassi Racing and Rahal/Letterman/Lanigan Racing have combined to win the last six NTT IndyCar Series races at the Texas Motor Speedway. That’s why we’re getting very good odds on some sleepers to win either of the two races run on the 1.5-mile Fort Worth area race track this weekend.
Pato O’Ward (+850)
He finished 12th on this track as a rookie last year, but O’Ward has since done a lot of testing on superspeedway’s and was Rookie of the Year at Indy last August.
Ryan Hunter-Reay (+3300)
Lets go with a veteran here with 14 past Texas starts. RHR enters with three straight top eight results on this track including a pair of fifth place runs in 2018 and again in 2019.
Tony Kanaan (+4000)
He’s back in a Ganassi car at Texas as the popular Brazilian driver has made 21 past starts at Texas. In fact, he has six top 10’s in his last eight tries including nine of his 21 starts seeing him finish in the top three.
Ed Carpenter (+5000)
He’s always a threat on superspeedways as Carpenter will be making his first starts of the season this weekend. He finished fifth here last year and is a past winner on this track in general. This will be Carpenter’s 20th Texas start.
Sebsatien Bourdais (+3300)
Notice a theme here? A lot of veterans. Bourdais is driving for Super Tex and has quietly scored three straight top 10 finishes at Texas. Worth a gamble here.
