Don’t expect Team Penske to necessarily vie for a win in Sunday’s Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 (3 p.m. ET, NBCSN, PRN). That’s not a jab at them, it’s just that they’ve not necessarily been race winning contenders at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway lately.
Despite that, you can’t count them out in terms of a good fantasy play this weekend though either. I’d expect all three Penske drivers to come away with top 10 finishes on Sunday afternoon.
While Brad Keselowski hasn’t won at NHMS since 2014, he does have 11 top 10 finishes in his last 15 tries there. In his last four results, he may only have one top five (2018) but he does have three top 10’s too.
Keselowski, enters this weekend on the heels of 12 top 11 finishes in his last 14 tries on the season.
What about Joey Logano? He finally ended a top five slump a few weeks ago in Texas. He has three straight top 10 finishes at New Hampshire and at one point between Sept. 2014 and July 2014, he had four straight top four finishes.
That leaves Ryan Blaney. He’s trending better each year on this track. He was ninth in 2017, seventh in 2018 and fourth last year. Why not another top five? Blaney, has six top seven finishes in his last nine starts on the season.
