The entry list is out for Saturday’s GMR Grand Prix (12 p.m. ET, NBC, INDYCAR Radio Network) 26 car and driver combinations grace us which is a race record. The previous record was 25, which showed up in each of the first three years of the races’ existence.
The last two years saw 24 cars race in the road race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the smallest field occurring in 2017 with 22 entrants.
This year, will feature the usual full time entries to go along with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing entering for their first go at the annual race on the 2.439-mile circuit. Sage Karam will drive their No. 24 Chevrolet. Spencer Pigot will also race for the new Citrone/Buhl Autosport team in conjunction with Rahal/Letterman/Lanigan Racing.
Those two to go along with Max Chilton (Carlin) and Dalton Kellett (AJ Foyt Racing) make their season debuts on Saturday.
Carlin, will bring just one car again as their No. 31 Chevy entry remains parked.
