It appeared on Thursday that the stage would be large this weekend for both NASCAR and IndyCar. While every other major sports league around the world were postponing or canceling events, racing was pushing forward.

NASCAR knew that at least the next two races would be run without fans in the stands. IndyCar knew that this weekend would be run without fans too and only Long Beach next month would be postponed.

But, on Friday, everything changed.

Formula One had already announced that they won’t race in Australia this weekend but on Friday due to the Coronavirus, they have now decided to postpone the first three race of the season in general. Australia, Bahrain and Vietnam are moved back which would as of now, see their season start in early May for the Dutch Grand Prix.

Same for IndyCar. St. Pete, Barber and COTA have now been postponed, joining Long Beach as the series says that they will postpone all races through April. That means May will be the earliest that they can begin.

NASCAR only went as far as the next two races as the next available race is at the Texas Motor Speedway at the end of the month, but how everything is going, I have a feeling that race will get moved too.

Formula E and Supercross are off for the foreseeable future too.
