INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time in as many days, we have another Indy 500 entry announced. On Wednesday, Clauson-Marshall Racing announced that Pippa Mann will drive their No. 39 Chevrolet for the 103rd Running of the Indianapolis 500.
On Thursday, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing announced that Sage Karam will return to the team this May for his sixth attempt of making the Greatest Spectacle In Racing.
Karam, will drive the No. 24 Chevrolet for the fourth straight year and fifth time in his six tries. His best finish came when he finished ninth as a rookie in 2014.
The Pennsylvania native has always been known as a hard charger. He’s started 21st or lower in all five tries and in every race with the exception of one, he’s always found his way up front.
Last year, Karam was in the top five before crashing out inside of 50 to go.
Now, he gets another shot with DRR in hopes of having a career day. He becomes the 31st confirmed driver on this year’s entry list.
