Greg got the biggest win of the year last week while Eric’s win streak came to an end. He his +$240 on his Ryan Blaney pick to take the lead out of the trio of experts now as he’s -$260 on the season. Eric lost $100 and falls to -$348 while CJ got the win but only gained $19 with it and sits at -$361 overall.
With Bristol dirt this weekend, the odds were somewhat scrambled to what we’ve been accustomed to seeing this year. Kyle Larson is the heavy favorite as Vegas gave the edge to guys with past dirt experience. How much of past experience comes into play for Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX, PRN)?
With Larson only being 2-1, it was tough to snag him and other top drivers, so Eric avoided Larson with it being too obvious he feels to win this weekend. Instead, he went for the more value pick in Christopher Bell as his top choice. Dirt stars Chase Briscoe, Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Alex Bowman join his picks for Sunday’s race. So does the Penske duo of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano. I mean, when else are you going to get them for 30-1 (Logano) and 33-1 (Keselowski)? Some drivers say this race on Sunday could be more like a slick track and race closer to Richmond and Martinsville rather than a race on dirt. Logano and Keselowski are great at those two tracks, so why not sprinkle some money in their direction? He also went with Ryan Newman who is at 50-1 and has tons of past dirt experience in a midget.
Greg went with Larson, but by doing so, he had to avoid Bell, Briscoe and Dillon as a result. By choosing his drivers, Larson was his break even bet. He did get Stenhouse Jr. to go along with last weeks winner in Blaney. Greg took Kyle Busch at 18-1 and figured why not for Keselowski too at 33-1. He went further down the list for the rest of his drivers in taking Matt DiBenedetto, Erik Jones, Newman, Chris Buescher and Daniel Suarez. Newman, is a break even bet too for him, but Busch (+$80), DiBenedetto (+$100), Jones (+$100), Buescher (+$140) and Suarez (+$100) could get him a nice three figure payout again.
CJ also got Larson and with how he did his picks, he only took four drivers in total which allows for a $16 profit if Larson wins. He was able to snag Bell and Dillon to get a $15 or $8 win respectively if either win. He also took Blaney for his only longshot at 16-1 to win $12.
