The Month of May, scratch that, Month of August, is about here. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway laid out a detailed 88 page plan on how they will safely race three months later than normal during the midst of a global pandemic.

But, not only do we have racing at 16th and Georgetown during the month, we also have action all month that’s open to fans just a gas tank away.

Aug. 6-8 will see NHRA back in Indianapolis for a second of three race weekends.

Also that weekend, the same stars of the NTT INDYCAR Series will be racing over at Mid-Ohio which is a short 4 hour drive from Indy.

Then, you get action every day from Aug. 11-Aug. 16 at IMS for Indy 500 Practice and qualifying.

Carb Day (Aug 21) will see a two-hour Practice at IMS as the final tuneup before the Indy 500.

Aug 21 and 22 will also see action two nights of action at Lucas Oil Raceway too. First up is the Carb Night Classic for USAC Silver Crown Series as well as USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 all taking to the west side oval. A night later is the Night Before the 500. Pavement Midgets and Sprints will race for $10k for the winner of the 50 lap sprint feature and $5k for the 30 lap Midget feature.

Then, the last weekend of the month will feature a big event at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis.

Aug. 29 will be an ARCA plus Indy Pro 2000 race and INDYCAR qualifying on the 1.25 mile oval. Aug. 30 will be a Truck Series/INDYCAR doubleheader.
