Greg DePalma and Eric Smith (Race Review Online) look back at Sunday’s controversial finish at Texas, when Quin Houff‘s mistake caused an 11-car pileup with 29 laps left and changed the outcome of the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. Several top cars, including double stage winner Ryan Blaney, that already had made pit stops got caught one lap down for the restart, paving the way for Austin Dillon to take a surprising victory. Dillon’s spot in the 16-car playoff field also jumbles that chase. Midweek racing returns this week, as teams hit Kansas Speedway on Thursday.
