NASCAR is coming back this weekend. But, Sunday’s race at the Darlington Raceway will be completely different than anything we’ve ever seen before.
No fans will be there to witness the race in person. The drivers have no practice or qualifying to prepare for the race either. It’s just show up and race.

In turn, setting the lineup was different as well. NASCAR put everyone in three separate groups and based the groups off owners points.
Group 1 would be the drivers in the top 12 of the standings. Group 2 would be spots 13-24 in owner points. Finally, Group 3 would be the final charter teams in spots 25 on in the standings. The final four spots are for open cars.
The starting spots locked the drivers via a blind draw in the group positioning. That’s why Brad Keselowski will start on the pole for Sunday’s 400 mile race. He will be joined on the front row by Alex Bowman.
