INDIANAPOLIS — I’ve been waiting for this all week. Bubba Wallace, NASCAR’s lone African-American driver in their premiere series, gave his comments about the Kyle Larson situation. Unless you’ve been living in a deep cave during the new times of this world under the stranglehold of the coronavirus, you’re probably heard about the comment that Larson made during an online race on Easter night.
The fall out for it was prompt and not surprising either.
Larson, was quickly suspended by Chip Ganassi Racing and NASCAR this past Monday. By the end of the day, he lost virtually all of his sponsors. That led to him losing his job a day later.
In wake of this, Larson himself issued a statement on his social media accounts on Monday morning.

Since he’s spoken about it and the fall out continued, I was now also curious how Wallace felt by this. Would Larson’s comment damage their relationship or would Wallace be forgiving in nature?
Well, Thursday afternoon we found out. Wallace issued his own statement and while he was feeling a range of emotions from what Larson said, he admitted that Larson immediately reached out to him and even tried to connect again on Monday with the two discussing the incident via Facetime.
Below is Wallace’s full post.
