Max Verstappen is looking to get his season back on track. After a great run prior to the summer break, the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver has just one podium in the last five races.

But, the North American swing could be just what the doctor ordered. Verstappen, has won in each of the last two years in the Mexican Grand Prix. Now, he starts on the pole for Sunday’s race.

Verstappen, qualified his No. 33 Honda with a lap of 1:14.758-seconds.

Qualifying ended early following a big crash by Valtteri Bottas. He was P6 when he got into the wall which ended the Q3 session early.

Verstappen, topped the Ferrari’s who saw Charles Leclerc (1:15.024-seconds) and Sebastian Vettel (1:15.170-seconds) qualify second and third respectively.

Verstappen, was third, second and sixth in practice this weekend while Leclerc was second, third and first respectively. Vettel, was sixth, first and second himself.

Lewis Hamilton will start fourth in his No. 44 Mercedes after circling the track with a time of 1:15.262-seconds and Alex Albon rounding out the top five in his No. 23 Honda with a lap of 1:15.336-seconds.
