It won’t take long for the reigning 2019 NTT IndyCar Series champion to get back in the seat of his car again. Josef Newgarden will drive his No. 2 Chevrolet around the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL on Friday in an exhibition following the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session.

Team Penske confirmed the move on Tuesday morning.

Newgarden, will drive his car around the 2.28-mile road course while Penske NASCAR driver Joey Logano will look on.

The Tennessee native just won the championship on Sunday on the heels of four wins. This was his second championship in the last three years.
