Karam, Daly Back With Carlin For This Weekend In Iowa

INDIANAPOLIS – Carlin made a very popular decision on Tuesday by bringing two young and very talented American drivers back with the team for this weekend’s Iowa 300 (7:30 p.m. ET/NBCSN/INDYCAR Radio Network) at the Iowa Speedway.

Conor Daly will be in the No. 59 Chevrolet for the second time of the season. The last came last month at the Texas Motor Speedway where Daly drove the car home to an 11th place result. It was the first race that Max Chilton hopped out of the car as he decided to no longer race on ovals at that point forward.

Chilton’s best finish this season is 14th which came this past Sunday in Toronto.

Daly, also finished 10th in the 103rd Running of the Indianapolis 500 for Andretti Autosport and has scored the ninth most points on ovals among all drivers this season.

For Karam, he takes over the No. 31 Chevrolet that Pato O’Ward was initially slated to drive. O’Ward has moved overseas as part of the Red Bull development team and is in Super Formula cars. Karam, joined the team last weekend in Toronto and finished 21st.
