Top Betting Options For Sunday’s REV Group Grand Prix at Road America (12:30 p.m. ET/NBC/INDYCAR Radio Network)

The NTT IndyCar Series is back in action this weekend for Sunday’s REV Group Grand Prix at Road America (12:30 p.m. ET/NBC/INDYCAR Radio Network) in Elkhart Lake. This is always one of the most anticipated races on the season as Road America packs nearly 100k people onto the grounds for a race weekend.

So, who’s going to shine in front of all of those fans this weekend?

Favorites

Josef Newgarden (+350)

Newwgarden led 53 of the 55 laps run last year and led 13 laps in a runner-up effort in 2017. He was eighth in 2016. He has two top four finishes in three tries on natural road courses this season. Also, Newgarden won the last race of the year two weeks ago in Texas.

Scott Dixon (+450)

He won this race in 2017. He was also third last year. On natural road courses run in 2019, he has two straight runner-ups on the season. Need I say more?

Sleepers

Ryan Hunter-Reay (+1200)

Hunter-Reay bodes as Andretti’s best shot. He does have two top four finishes in three tries at Road America to go along with two top eight finishes in three tries in 2019 on natural road courses too. Hunter-Reay enters this weekend hot as well. He has four straight top eight finishes, three of which being in the top five including seven top eights in his last eight starts on the season. He calls Road America his favorite track on Earth.

Sebastien Bourdais (+1400)

The Frenchman has finished in the top 11 in literally seven of his nine starts this season in his No. 18 Honda. If not for a run in with Graham Rahal in the closing laps of the Indy 500, it would be in all but one race.

Now, Bourdais is hoping to add a win at Road America. It’s not like he hasn’t won there before as he won in Champ Car in 2007. He was third in 2004 and 2006 and runner-up as a rookie in 2003. Since his return to Indy Car, Bourdais hasn’t had the best of luck at Road America, but he’s aiming to change that this weekend.

On natural road courses this year, Bourdais has two top five finishes in three tries. He was third in Barber and fifth at COTA. I’d say he’s a sleeper for sure on Sunday.

Felix Rosenqvist (+1600)

Natural road courses are where Rosenqvist is at his most comfort. He’s finished 10th and eighth respectively on them in 2019 and should fare well this weekend.

Graham Rahal (+1600)

Rahal, has two top 10 finishes in three tries on natural road courses as well to go along with a top eight finish in all three tries at Road America. He also has five top 10 finishes in his last six tries on the season.

Takuma Sato (+2000)

Sato, won the April race at Barber as both he and Graham Rahal combined to a front row sweep that weekend. On the season, Sato has two top seven finishes in three tries on natural road courses in his No. 30 Honda. He also has five top eight finishes in his last eight starts on the season too. He finished fourth at Road America in 2018 as well.

Marcus Ericsson (+6600)

He’s getting more and more comfortable. He has two straight top seven finishes on the season. Road America is a track that Ericsson should excel at. The Sweden native finished seventh at Barber back in April on a similar track.

Spencer Pigot (+6600)

Watch out for Pigot this weekend. The Ed Carpenter Racing driver has two top 10 finishes in three tries at Road America. He also finished sixth at the INDYCAR Grand Prix in May too.

Ed Jones (+8000)

Jones, finished seventh and ninth respectively in the past at Road America. He also finished sixth on the last natural road course race run on the season at IMS too.

Santino Ferrucci (+10000)

What a surprise he’s been this season. Ferrucci, finished 10th at Indy and has four top 10 finishes in his last five starts of the season.

Jack Harvey (+15000)

He’s been very good this season. Harvey, has finished in the top 10 in two of the three natural races in 2019 including a podium at Indy.

Questionable

Alexander Rossi (+400)

Rossi, has never finished in the top 10 on the Wisconsin road course and has finishes of ninth, fifth and 22nd respectively on natural road courses this season. Yes, he does have four straight top fives entering this weekend, three of which being runner-ups, but can he win?

Will Power (+450)

Power’s finishes are 24th, 11th and seventh respectively on natural road courses this season. His engine quit on the first lap of last year’s race at Road America. He has one podium in three tries at Road America too and only three top five finishes all season.

Simon Pagenaud (+900)

Pagenaud has two top seven finishes in his last three Road America tries and won at Indy in May. But, he only has one top five finish on natural road courses this season and one top five in three tries at Road America too.

James Hinchcliffe (+2500)

He’s finished 16th in two of his three natural road course starts in 2019. He has finishes of 14th, 20th and 10th respectively at Road America too.

Marco Andretti (+6600)

Andretti, has finished 12th, 18th and 11th respectively at Road America and sixth, 14th and 13th respectively on natural road courses in 2019.

Zach Veach (+6600)

Veach, finished 22nd last year. On natural road courses this season, he’s finished 22nd, 12th and 12th respectively. This may not be a good weekend for him.
