Trucks Series To Have Triple Truck Challenge With $500k Bonus On The Line

The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series will have a bonus program in place similar to the one that the NASCAR XFINITY Series has on their end. The NXS has the Dash 4 Cash with big prize money on the line for XFINITY Series regulars.

Well, on Monday the Truck Series announced their new program.

The “Triple Truck Challenge” will give Truck Series drivers an opportunity to win up to $500k and give them a ton of attention in June.

The races in this challenge at at the Texas Motor Speedway (June 7), Iowa Speedway (June 15) and Gateway Motorsports Park (June 22).

The race winner of any one of the three races nets $50k. If a driver can win two of the three, they’ll get an additional $150k. If they can sweep all three races, they’ll get $500k at Gateway.

“It’s neat in the sense that it’s a little bit different,” said NASCAR’s Ben Kennedy, managing director of racing operations and international development. “There’s no qualifying ahead of time or any of that. It’s solely focused on the Truck Series drivers — you have to declare driver points in order to participate and then you’ve also got to win. It focuses on winning.”

Kennedy mentioned that Gander Outdoors was a big part of this program and helped with the format.
